What are Positive Discipline Workshops?
Positive Discipline is a parenting/teachers program designed to teach parents/teachers important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults. Positive Discipline means being kind and firm simultaneously, which is effective in the long term and helps children feel a connection — a sense of belonging and significance. Positive Discipline eliminates punishment, reward, punitive time out, and praise when interacting with children, to promote an internal locus of control in children which stays with them lifelong, rather than a short-term external locus of control
I provide 12-hour workshops for parents from the prenatal to teenage stages. I also provide this workshop for teachers and childcare workers. There will be a maximum of 12 participants per batch as the workshops involve roleplays, discussions, and experiential activities. My past participants talk very highly of these workshops. If you are a part of a daycare, community, or religious group with young parents, please have 12 people from your group registered and I can conduct the workshop in your meeting place in person or if you prefer, online. We can discuss the logistics when you call me. Or, if you and your partner would like to attend my workshop online, please register using the registration form and I will get back to you when the number of participants is optimal. The online workshops are conducted as 2-hour sessions per week for 6 weeks. The cost is $150 per person for all formats. We can negotiate an affordable rate for you if you do not have insurance coverage.
